The Forest Hills family enjoys worshipping together through a variety of music that uplifts the Father, glorifies the Son and invokes the presence of the Holy Spirit. We love the traditional hymns as well as contemporary worship songs and New Hymns. Piano, guitar, tambourine and, occasionally our youth orchestra serve as accompaniment.
Believing that worship is the act of displaying our love, adoration and reverence for and devotion to God, it is the goal of the music ministry at Forest Hills Baptist Church to create an environment that enables believers to be brought into the very presence of the Lord, thereby Allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work helping us to live Christ centered lives
Knowing that God gives to each believer gifts that they can use for His glory it is our desire to allow those who have gifts of worship, be it Singing and or playing an instrument or performing arts, to use them to enhance the worship experience.
Our worship ministry’s primary goal each week is to lead a distraction free worship time in which every person in attendance can encounter God in a real way.
The worship team consists of adults and youth leading the congregation into worship. It is made up of a variety of instruments and vocalists. They regularly present special selections and, at times, dramatic interpretations of anthems such as “Hosanna” and “Via Dolorosa.” We welcome those who would like to serve the Lord with their talents. If you can sing or play an instrument, please speak with our Worship Leader, Bro. Mike to see where you can help. If you have computer or sound system talents, you can also find a place to participate.
